The Scrub Forests consisting of natural low yielding thorny vegetation occur in Pothwar area of Rawalpindi Civil Division and also in the low dry hills of Mianwali, Khushab Districts. The sets owned scrub forests covering an area of 676335.75 acres are the least productive. In Guzara Forests the 82448 acres area is under Scrub Forest. However, their importance from the soil and water conservation point of view can hardly be over-emphasized. The chief species are Kau and Phulahi.
