Range Lands

 

Range land is normally considered to be any naturally vegetated land in low rain fall areas grazed by domestic livestock and game animals. These are un-cultivated lands where, due to adverse conditions of soil, topography and particularly water deficiency, neither agriculture nor forests is economically possible. An area of 305319 acres of R.M circle and D.G khan Forest division falls in this category, in public sector. Out of total Area 101998 acres of Chakwal RM division has been included in scrub forest, whereas 456 acres of D.G Khan Forest division has been included in Range management area statement. Remaining area of 202865 acres is with Bhakkar and D.G khan R.M divisions.
